cool gimp effect (make a planet tutorial)


hii,,,Long time we never meet..i very miss you guys..hehehe…because of my “busy” activities..this blog has no new cool gimp tutorial again..but now..i will share to you how to make a planet effect with gimp..simple and easy..let’s do it!
1. make a new document with black color as background
2. then make a new layer, make a circle selection and fill it with blue color like this
3. then duplicate the new layer, and fill with black color
4. move it down and make a gaussian blur on black circle like this

5. back to blue circle, then drop white shadow like this
6. last..go to background, and go to filter>add noise>HSV Noise
7. finish….simple, isn’t it???gimp planet effect

    wow! thanks!
    I'm a beginner in GIMP and I had dowloaded it because I wanted to make this type of pictures but I hadn't idea about Gimp and its tools…
    You have helped me a lot, I will continue with more complicate pictures, but You have given the start.
