How to make glossy text in gimp?maybe this question is one of your problem in GIMP world tricks, yap...perhaps...but after you read this glassy text tutorial, i hope you will be satisfied with my simple gimp tutorial, the steps are:
1. make a new file, you can choose black as background
2. create a text (for the colors, you can find in the video)
3. then make a new gradients on the text (if you don't understand how to make a gradient text, check this!)
4. then make selection (half of your text), it will make glassy-looks there,
5. make a new layer (with shrink selection 2 px) then fill with white
6. for light effect, change the layer mode to Overlay
