light beam effect (make it using GIMP!)

This is a cool gimp tutorial, how to make a beam light effect in gimp? if you want to know about this awesome effect in gimp, let’s try to learn it!just follow these
steps:
1. Choose your beloved pose, or use your object

2. then make a new layer, fill around the body using path tool like this:

3. then right click like this

4. delete part of the white curve like this

5. make the white curve blur using gaussian blur

6. select the curve (alpha to selection) and make a new layer above it, then grow its selection

7. fill the new layer with yellow color

8. then you can add spark brush like this
9. Finish!
